It's what happens when you get rid of all the high-IQ White men (or nips) and replace them with fags, trannies, diversity hires and dangerhair psych-major BPD narcissist skanks.
i think the game was made by a taiwanese company called NeoBards. they made those crappy multiplayer modes for some of the resident evil games like resident evil resistance and resiednt evil reverse.
I hear Taiwan is going majorly woke with nigger worship and troonism-faggotry. Which sucks because it's otherwise a clean, safe, advanced country almost on the level of Japan.
Meanwhile the mainland Chinese are a bunch of lying, thieving, uncouth bug-eating savages...who happen to be incredibly based on immigration and race realism.
There's a lot of reasons to hate the bugs, but the way they protect their people and culture -- if even only tangentially to their real goals -- is a way better deal than unlimited globofaggotry.
Remember when Silent Hill was about (simplifying a lot here) about running around a scary place and getting spooked? I saw this game has a hack and slash style fighting mechanic or something, just doesn't seem right for a Silent Hill game to me.
I need to go on a rant here because it's eating me inside. Fuck me but it's BAD. As a longtime fan of the series especially (the original) 2 and (criminally underrated and overhated) 4 I was super excited to see an installment set in early-postwar Japan - against my better judgment given Current Year Sensibilities, in hindsight, but I was blinded by my expectations. Hearing they worked in traditional mythology and the conflict between modernity and the past got me even happier, plus there were Kitsune? (Not a furry, I just think they're cool...honest)
Instead what was delivered was a giant pile of shart worthy of a Delhi shitting street.
*⚠MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED⚠*
Just for starters. You've got basically two "romance" options.
In the waking world, your loyal and devoted childhood friend who's always been supportive of you but never crossed a line, always respected your boundaries (all that beta shit girls say they're into - but sometimes goes over well with Asian girls) and as a special bonus, every other girl in your class simps over him but he seemingly only wants to spend time with you and relive those wholesome nostalgic memories from yesteryear. Standard shoujo manga fare.
In the dream world it's a mysterious, hot older guy with long white hair, seeming eerie enough for the horror fans and just supernatural enough to be "more than" human - confident, assured, with magic powers and knows way more about this "other world" than you do, but is keen to be your mentor and protector. Jareth the Goblin King meets Edward Cullen.
So which one do you choose? NEITHER, you toxic problematic heterosexist trash! No, instead you become a crude, brash, aggressive she-man driven by hostility and blind rage (against...society, for expecting you to not act like a cunt ig?) basically the exact opposite of what Japanese culture expects women to be. And all the while this is portrayed as a Good Thing. Even when Hinako is just casually murdering her childhood friends (admittedly a flawed bunch) in cold blood, she's shown to be "outgrowing" such silly things as...friendship and loyalty? They do, rightly, call her out for a traitor - with the exception of her aforementioned childhood friend, who she kills by hanging, and not a clean break either. She leaves him to slowly strangle by his neck in a room alone. Oh, and the shy timid girl with no friends who reached out to Hinako because she was so lonely (i.e. standard shoujo manga self-insert protagonist)? Yeah...she has a crippling fear of isolation, darkness and enclosed spaces, so you lock her in a tiny cage in an enclosed room in total darkness, and leave her there to die of starvation while succumbing to madness. They were "too girly" or something and it's society that's wrong for not treating you like a hero when you go to literal insane lengths to make the most insufferable, vile cunt of yourself.
Yeah, even though the earlier Silent Hill sequels were lackluster at best, this kills the franchise for me. This isn't just a poor game, this is Last Jedi-tier active concentrated spite toward anyone actually playing it. I am so goddamn sick of this bullshit. They just won't stop until they've turned everything you used to love into pure psychological torment. I'm hoping the ending will reveal that Hinako was the real monster all along but my hopes are as low as low can go.
I hate this future more than words can express. </endrant>
Anytime fren. I couldn't stay silent on it, it was just pure talmudic spite from start to finish. I wanted the experience of "classic Silent Hill reimagined by Junji Ito" and what I got might as well have just been BMWF cuck porn instead.
Now admittedly I haven't played any of the Silent Hill games, but I was under the impression that all of the weird stuff that happened to the characters was actually happening in reality in some way.
Sort of like the scene in Dead Space 2 where Isaac is having a hallucination of his dead girlfriend attacking him but it turns out he's trying to stab himself in the eye with a screwdriver.
So did she actually kill all her friends or is this game just the schizo thoughts of mentally ill feminist?
Sort of, the games are notorious for leaving things ambiguous and open to interpretation. Usually it reflects the protagonist's mindset as they struggle to stay sane. That said it could be all about usual teen-girl insecurities ("do my friends really like me or are they just pretending?") and what happens in the dream world explicitly doesn't carry over to the waking realm, at least outside of affecting the protagonist's mind. One of them (Rinko) is admittedly kind of a bitch but burning her alive is absolutely a step too far. It's really just the sociopathic fantasies showing Hinako is becoming a STRONG INDEPENDENT WAHMEN - the game railroads you into this path, kind of odd for the SH series, you don't even get the choice to be a classical anime gf. And the more (explicitly and literally) demonic Hinako becomes is shown as "growing up" and "asserting her independence" because conforming to Japan's expectation of women is only ever portrayed as something evil and oppressive.
No need for EL checks on whoever came up with this, the reek of semitic rat claws is evident in every part of this tripe. "Traditions are dumb and lame! Destroy what your ancestors worked for and be an insufferable cunt to the point of literal sociopathy instead!" Fuck me at least Hatred knew on some level it was a piss take.
Everything is so utterly uninspired now a days.

Turns out the jew's dog, USA is the spreader that infects the world with wokeness, who knew?
ZSA*
seems asia is suceptible to "hip hop" and "basketball" culture.
The wrong side won the war

Even though the people they're protecting leave something to be desired
Eating dogs and gutter oil really isn't a good look.

Any combat system in a Silent Hill game should be actively disempowering the player, otherwise it's missing the point.

That's a great way to describe it. I'll be borrowing this term from now on.
