Yeah, Argentina is kind of like Bizarro Italy (or at least the capital Buenos Aires is where half the population lives).
It's far enough south that the winter climate is a lot like the PNW/New England.
Everyone looks White, but speaks Spanish. Everyone is pretty skinny. The food culture revolves around pizza (eaten with a fork), steak, red wine, espresso & empanadas.
A lot of the highend stores are focused on leather & lingerie.
Whenever my family came from there they brought Alfajores. I just found them at Publix and nearly cried. Dulce de Leche is more common now, but not when I was a kid.

My Dad is from Maschuits which is now part of Buenos Aires but not when he lived there. We joke that we are honorary Italians.
