Haven't you read the research with chimps. Occasionally the beta male will get to mate if he's excessively attentive and brings the passed over females lots of gifts. So there, science has proved you wrong, simping works occasionally, with the unwanted members of monkeys.
I thought the science said that alphas and betas don't exist because they withdrew the study when some very inconvenient people drew some very inconvenient conclusions from it.
I could be behind on the science. I just remember watching a video with some person explaining that occasionally nice monkeys get access to sex by being simps.
Every male chimp MUST dominate every female chimp. If not they'll be driven from the troop.
So it's reasonable that they "get some" now and then to keep the gene pool from getting dirty. (every kid for 7 years has the same daddy? dirty pool!)
