However, I'll continue with the idea that "no files exist."
The whole "no files exist" talking point is also somewhat of a distraction and a sleight of hand IMO.
It is true that those still pushing to have "the Epstein files released" want the US government & DOJ to officially name names of those guilty of pedophile sex crimes.
But it's also implied I believe that the official naming of names should be accompanied by federal investigation & prosecution.
The issue with simply taking a "there's no files" technical loophole stance is that one becomes complicit as well that Trump’s DOJ, just like Biden's before him, is doing jackshit about bringing any of Epstein's historic elite clients to justice.
The admin's version of "there is no file" is absolutely them trying to weasel around releasing information, for whatever reason they may have justifiable or not.
I'm merely of the believe that there is no actual "File" (capital letter trademarked) in that there is something people would agree is THE File that the phrase has come to be talking about. The legend of it as this document that would officially and unquestioningly (important, as any slight hole would make it useless) name names and allow prosecution is greater than I think any thing could reach by this point.
There might have been at some point, but such a thing absolutely would have been destroyed instantly by the same people who killed him.
We are in agreement that there's certainly a possibility that there is no physical "Epstein file" to release.
I believe we are also in agreement that some mythical secret file doesn't have to exist for Trump's DOJ to at least pretend to be moving forward on investigating the guilty elite pedos and bringing some to justice.
We are. Though I do believe Trump's team is trying to do something, whether that's the correct or useful path or not. These latest batch of emails should be considered a far bigger deal than they are in terms of release, and its the fact that nobody gives a shit that has me thinking that no one will ever truly give a shit. Its not enough, surely, but its still progressing when it could be fully stagnant if they wanted to simply let it fade away.
