Why do you think they're removing DEI at all? People who want DEI don't care if it's not popular, they want anyone who doesn't like it to die.
Because every single DEI heavy game has completely bombed for the last few years, and several studios went under because of the 100 million+ budgets. Rockstar is going to have over two billion invested in this one. I guarantee they are freaking out over the change in the zeitgeist and are realizing the risk they would be taking.
I bet it's the exact reason for this delay.
Didn't Rockstar say they wouldn't release GTA6 during the Trump Administration? Boy do they have egg on their face.
