Not caring that much about the photo op going by someone the expressions and body language. Which is what I would prefer compared to the over preening narcissists trying to claim game dev status these days. You are there to do a job, not look pretty for pictures.
That's exactly the feeling I got from this photo. "Ugh, that dutchy Vermeij called us all to the break room for a photo when we need to continue finishing GTA 3D before our publishers yoink all our funding. If this shit bombs no-one will remember this, especially not after Getaway launches."
$5m was all they had to develop GTA 3. Once more, like the original 2D title, the game is going over-budget and over-long on its dev time; it was supposed to be out for Christmas 2000 on the Dreamcast. Then the Dreamcast died and it still wasn't close to finished. Summer 2001 is optimistic and then 9/11 comes, and they need to make necessary alterations just as the discs are getting ready to be pressed.

There's like 3.5 fucks in that entire room, and not the fake "I'm too cool to care" posing, straight up "urgh, I hate this bullshit"
That's the look of a lot of guys who know they have a lot of work to do today and the company is wasting thier time on nonsense like this.

The game ended up making $300m in gross.
Holy shit. Thanks. Super cool to know that given I really enjoyed that game as a kid.
