All their "replacements" to be the runner in 2028 keep failing and exploding horribly. Trump/Vance is literally chopping down any who stand up and try to take the mantle, when they don't usually knock themselves over looking retarded on their own. Not helped by their own ideology killing any white dude's chances of doing so, even when that's the best they have.
So instead they keep clinging to the most recent "success" they had, which was her at the head. The same way they pulled Biden out from the nursing home in 2020 when it was obvious Hillary was poison.
Tbh, I still expect that Shapiro guy that was a candidate to become Harris' VP to be the one chosen in the next democrat primary. He seems like one of their most reserved and coherent remaining options, one of the few who still hasn't crashed and burned.

Yeah, that was the argument for Harris, but I still think that it was probably another bad decision on her part to go with Waltz instead. That guy was an abject embarrassment.
And I also agree that it would be touchy for them right now, but in two/three years when it's time for the primary? The climate may be very different. And once their moronic candidates stand up in a line and try to express coherent thoughts with structured sentences in a debate stage and the vast majority of them inevitably fail, or when all their scandals start coming out, I expect that he'll be one of the most attractive remaining options.
Yeah you may be right, it very much depends what's happening in the middle east. But right now it seems like a radioactive topic on the left and it doesn't seem to be going away
