I have a positive impression of Sikhs in principle, because I like a religion that decided everyone should carry a sword at all times in case they need to play the knight in shining armour. Obviously there's a lot of Sikhs who don't live up to that ideal, but the ideal is nice.
More specifically, knights in shining armor against Muslim invaders and spies. Unfortunately, that doesn't really hold up in western nations because they don't do jack shit against invaders. They're just here for free gibs. Most of them only carry around a glorified toy knife anyway.
If it wasn't for the hamfisted campaign to call white people racist because they were supposedly attacking anybody with a turban in the street after 9/11, you wouldn't have ever thought about Sikhs to begin with.
I wouldn't think so - I don't imagine the anti-"Islamophobia" media was in any hurry to celebrate the Sikhs' commitment to the Second Amendment or mention the murder of Sikh gurus by Muslims that provoked the decision.
