You're allowed to claim Sikh status: it's a meme, not a gene. And even if it was a gene, in Canada, you're allowed to claim at least some of those arbitrarily as well.
How many Churchians can quote more than one or two bible verses? Just learn one hymn or one poem, and your kirpan is a-ok.
