You know how Mr. Beast started by doing retarded stuff (as opposed to now where he does different retarded stuff), anything to get views, like counting to 100,000; something that takes no talent, just a desperate desire for views and subscribers?
Yeah well this guy did a 7 hour video of a herculean feat. Just thought it was an apt comparison
If you're not familiar with Tool's discography, go to 4 hours and 8 minutes and 20 seconds and see him play the opening drum part to ticks and leeches (one of the craziest drum intros of all time) and realize that he's been drumming non stop for 4 hours up to that point.
Guy, kit drummers don't have time to read their beats. They have to memorize everything.
Classical Percussionists do read music. Even kit drummers can read sheet music to learn beats. A rock drummer is extraordinarily busy. They don't have time once things get rolling in a performance.
I don't like Tool much, but when I have listened to them their drumming has been something that stood out to me even as a rhythmically challenged doofus.
So this is extra impressive simply because I know that what he is going at is probably considered high tier musical ability to begin with.
For a minute there I thought bro was going to sweat his soul out for 7 hours straight without even stopping for a drink. Finally saw him grab a bottle during a long outro after like an hour.

Incredible. Back to back. I assume he’s insanely good at sight reading, or whatever it is drummers do to remember what they’re playing?

This is my neighbor at 3am on a weekday.
