Agreed with what? How is this relevant to this issue where the US is training a country's military unit so they become repeat customers of US arms?
NOTHING is more important to the US than having a country as a client to their military equipment. Even Trump said so HIMSELF IN HIS FIRST TERM when the Saudis killed that reporter in Turkey, he literally said 'they buy A LOT of military equipment from us so we don't really care about this'
'they buy A LOT of military equipment from us so we don't really care about this'
And frankly, I would rather this be the attitude we go back to. I am well past the point where I care about if a nation is a democracy, a monarchy, or even a dictatorship. I only care about "Will they be a friend of the United States?" If yes, that is all that matters. If no, then it doesnt matter anyway.
You just said we sell to Qatar because they let us have a base there. 🤷
"Because they PAID for it and despite being attacked by both Israel AND Iran in seperate attacks this year, NEVER told the US to get the fuck out of their country."
That's one of the things that leads into the other. Countries that buy A LOT of US military equipment ALSO typically have a US military base on them. Probably just also as a 'everyone else fuck off he's a paying customer!' message and also easier to consult on weapons they buy. The issue is always when they have bases on NONE buying countries.
If you want to just focus just on the issue of the US' relationship with countries they sell to, watch this movie scene as THAT is the US when someone buys military gear from them!
You agreed with me one comment ago. I guess you changed your mind already.
