Qatar is buying F-15s, and part of the sales agreement is that their pilots come here and train on the platform. This is something the US has been doing routinely for 70 years. Saudi pilots came here to train on the F-15 when we sold some to them. Japanese pilots, same deal. Israel has sent pilots here for the F-16, as have a whole bunch of foreign air forces. Foreign air forces also come over here to train with us. Last time I was at Nellis AFB in 2005, there were German F-4s and Australian F-111 there to participate in Red Flag wargames.
For those who don't know, the Qatar F-15 deal was the impetus for the US Air Force to buy a bunch of new build F-15 called the F-15EX. Boeing upgraded the platform for the Qatar deal, and the Air Force decided to buy some themselves, to replace legacy F-15 models that were timing out on air frame life.
People should "sperg" about this because it's a bunch of bullshit when it's countries like this. It's especially bad optics when Mr. Deus Vult is put out there to announce it. They couldn't even bother to announce it under a Democrat admin so they could at least feign opposition and promote an "Islamo Communism" narrative with it. They really think their supporters are retarded.
The Qatar deal has been in the works for years. The only recent news is the announcement of the base hosting the training location. Mountain Home AFB is a big F-15E base, so naturally, that is where the pilot training will be.
Another reason we train ally air forces in the US is the training equipment. It’s the best equipment to train allies, is updated regularly, and a lot cheaper to break it than a jet.
Most of Europe goes to the US because places like Arizona has near 365 days of flying weather and no where near the extensive congestion EU airspace has.
Imagine having to spend most of your flying time hanging out in line with airliners and general aviation instead of pulling Gs.
X was sperging out hard on this a few days ago,

Will they train the pilots to land? That's the biggest question.

At $100m each you bet they did.
