I suppose, but demoralization in this context just means, "damn MtG used to be kind of fun. Oh well, I will not spend any money on Hasbro products," and happened many years ago.

That's the thing though, it isn't JUST MTG, this is happening EVERYWHERE, especially to red heads. The moment you stop being angry about it and start just being tired of it is the moment they win.
Weirdly self-fulfilling prophecy there. Someone can be momentarily tired of their shit and recover without magically handing them a forever win.
Yes apathy is to be generally avoided on important subjects, but setting impossible standards seems more likely to encourage apathy than discourage it.
Everyone will be tired at some point, saying you've already lost if you are is just going to demotivate the recovery.
A man who is angry all the time will shoot at every bush that moves and spin his tires until nobody listens to a word he has to say about anything. Making him less effective at fighting this in every sense possible.
