I'll say it again, 2020 made psychosis A LOT worse so extra measures are required.
For creators, they need to be even more careful of para social relationships so as soon as someone tries to give you large sums directly, return it, block them and step away from them as it's REALLY refuse the money and establish that barrier for your safety or take the money and now have someone invested in invading your privacy..
Someone as psychotic as this doesn't feel like someone a simple block would stop. I imagine by the time that they are willing to show you such a red flag its already too late, they are too invested and obsessed.
Almost all online personalities are going to have to live with this forever risk, because they literally cannot succeed without creating parasocial relationships to some extent, women especially. Much like prostitution, the inherent evil in the world means the type of work will always carry an inherent danger.
If anything, this probably supports either being anonymous through things like Vtubing and only using PO Boxes or having a contract with private security as you may go '2nd ammendment' if you're in the US, second ammendment can't always protect you when you're asleep.
Even then, PO Boxes only work to a point. Remember that Camila, a Vtuber, was successfully stalked because a deranged fan AirTagged a gift he sent her and then started knocking on her house while listening to her stream to make sure he was at the right place. Shit’s scary.
