Apparently he had some kind of legal proof of it too, which is weird since I had never heard of the guy before my father had to deal with the estate and he apparently wanted the house and stuff. This would have put my father's other cousin, the brother of the deceased, who has down syndrome, out a big chunk of his inheritance.
