Oh look! Another authoritative controlling lefty with anger issues who quickly becomes abusive to a passive subservient lifeform because they can't get their way immediately. Where have I seen this before?
Any chance that dog is forced to be a vegan ally to cats and squirrels too?
How people treat those in their care, whether they be children, old people, dogs, slaves, workers at a job, is how that person is.
What most people get wrong, is that to lead, to be the head over someone, is to serve. This is why there are so many tyrants, bad parents, bad managers, and mistreated animals. These hypocrites treat headship as a cushy job where everyone must serve and acquiess to their every whim, giving nothing back to those under them except misery and death.
This is also tied to empathy of our fellow man, and life in general, and love. A properly ordered group, community, and nation is supposed to consist of close friends and family, of people that are like you, whom you love. Homogeneity is a critical aspect of love. We don't form bonds with people that are nothing like us, that are a danger to us, that hate us. Headship over a group of people you love should be driven by love, facilitating the necessary servitude that good leadership and community requires.
I agree, some of the most the beloved leaders in history were gracious, giving, forgiving, and gentle (to a point) with their servants and those under them.
