Nearly the entire book publishing industry in America right now is kickback money and womens porn.
Fairy smut has ruined the fantasy market. And smut in general has ruined the YA market as well.
It's out of control, rampant. You got essentially BDSM and choking sex in YA fantasy. They don't even bother with building a world or even a plot anymore. It's just 'here's a cipher for you ladies, here's a badboy demonkin, ok he's murdering you during sex and you love it.'
