I feel like the people in power wanted far more from pandemic exploitation than they got.
No way big tech wasn't on it too. Rememeber how hard Zuckerberg pushed for the metaverse around that time? With the help of gaming companies, streaming services, record labels, even Amazon was excited at the idea of drone delivery
