Why do you think Kimmel tried to characterize the killer as MAGA? Because he can't joke about him being gay, having a troon boyfriend, being antifa, not even about being a furry. Mocking right-wingers, even if they were victims of murder is considered safe comedy
That much has been obvious for everyone here's entire life, and likely before that.
There was a very brief period in the late 00s when the Left felt so comfortable and powerful that they allowed jokes at their expense to exist, but the creation of Intersectionality and its evolution into the Woke took away that comfort from them and any ability to joke whatsoever.
Late 90s was the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Dems got dunked on pretty hard then.
Bill Clinton was seen as a Conservative democrat.
Believe it or not, back in the days when republicans and democrats could still sit around the restaurant bar and talk/joke about politics, everyone was viewed through the lens of conservative/liberal no matter what party they were in.
As the dem party took a hard left with 0bummer, conservative dems shifted toward the MAGA party. Unfortunately the GOP crust and donor class is still primarily liberal.
Back then, Republicans were more Conservative & Dems were fine pretending to be Conservative. I’m pretty much a 1990 Conservative and that somehow makes me SuperMcMustacheMan.
