Thomas massie is the lone republocan who voted against the House-passed bill to ensure 18-24-year-old criminals are charged and treated as adults, not juveniles, in Washington D.C. (twitter.com)

as always, check what the bill actually has, not its stated purpose or title. Is there any money to isreal for restorative justice or some bullshit?

Oh, look more disinfo from the redditor.

The actual text:

To lower the age at which a minor may be tried as an adult for certain criminal offenses in the District of Columbia to 14 years of age

Yeah, OP and the Twitter statement is technically correct, but misleading. Like with a lot of this.

It does indeed "ensure 18-24-year-old criminals are charged and treated as adults," but it's not all it does.

I'm tired of these attacks on Massie. It's completely unrelated to anything he's actually doing, they're just trying to smear him, because he's under coordinated attack.

Massie screwed up a bit when he talked about Charlie Kirk, in my opinion, but most of these other attacks have been almost completely baseless.

If everyone wants Massie to vote for bills, the bills should stop being so retarded and convoluted.

To be fair, I read the bill because of the comments here and it really is all it does. https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/5140/text

He seems to still be hung up on the Epstein thing based on X post regarding that bill.

I’m on your side with Massie though, there’s nothing to gain from this witch hunt. Too many on our side demand absolute perfect alignment with their thoughts 100% of the time or they are to be tossed aside as if they were just another a crazy leftist. That’s not being realistic.
