The Courier is forced to admit the couple have been arrested, but don't say it out loud.
It's not just Americans, that's what so many are missing. The entire world is responding to this and not in the way they want. There is support in the UK, South Korea, celebs and singers. There is no simple loud minority shouting about Kirk's assassination, there are so many more people but the US MSM is likely playing defence as hard as they have ever done, because the reality of what this means is so much worse than any of them expected as it's not going their way at all.
I wonder if George Floyd laying in state was real grief or the most performative of performatives.
The Bible does say you should be glad when someone dies because they are returning to God. That the sadness you feel is selfish because you miss them, it's you missing them you are mourning.
The absolutely VAST majority for George Floyd was purely performative.
The reason so many people were upset about Charlie Kirk is because most of the people who knew him personally, or even just interacted with him, liked him. He was extremely personable, even if he wasn't the kind of Charismatic that commands a room. He was a pleasant person to be around. He was basically a sweet-heart to everybody that knew him and he suffered and extremely violent death. It's like killing a bunny with a hammer.
Everyone else reacted to him with grief because a) they knew that this was a ruthless act that would inspire great fury, b) they knew that killing Charlie means that there's no one to protect them.
B's important because that's the real message that was sent, whether they understood it or not. The meme "They're not after me, they're after you, I'm just in the way" was a manifestation for Trump. But that also meant that Trump was a kind of shield. They tried shooting Trump 3 times since 2024, and so far they've missed every time. Charlie's death, and the celebrations afterwards, make it look like they got tired of missing Trump and just started shooting the people behind him. It's the Left going: "You're god damned right were after you."
For George Floyd, nobody fucking knew him. He was a career criminal and a junkie. He didn't have any friends. His death was purely, and exclusively, symbolic and was hyped up for the purposes of the election. Nothing else. Even the people who were the most violent about his death, were doing so because he was merely an excuse to meet that violence. There were no genuine reactions, and considering how his friends and family had to lie to keep up the narrative, even they were performative. Maybe his wife/girlfriend gave a shit about him. Nobody else.
For Iyrana, she was an attractive, and genuinely innocent white woman who was brutally murdered on a train and basically left to die in the confusion. It's a horrific murder that's a symbol of a larger problem. She can be easily transposed with people you know and care for, but nobody knew her directly. You'll notice there aren't people literally crying on television over her death because they didn't know her. That's not performative, that's just a limitation of people's knowledge of her. If they had been openly weeping, it would have been performative. That's what happened with George Floyd, especially at his funeral, and to the point that he literally replaced Jesus on a picture in an Anglican church, and made Mary black.
They were paid mourners like the ones Christ dealt with. They were not like Christ who wept knowing his friend was gone.
Like all things done by leftists, it was both at the same time. It was sincere, genuine grief coming from a place of nothingness within people who don't sincerely believe in anything except destruction and subversion.
