That puts it best. Because debate clubs are fucking retarded in the first place. The only thing he's good at is talking extremely fast with outstanding arrogance. But the second he meets someone who isn't impressed by that he gets outed for the retard he is. The debate with Norman Finkelstein is a very good example of that.
The Jontron debate is probably the best example of how he succeeds at it.
Because Jon was right in all ways, but wasn't sure enough of himself. So Tiny was able to act offended and aghast at what he was saying, and throw a bunch of barbs to knock him off his platform. So even when Jon was saying the truth, he looked nervous, untrustworthy and kept backing down on things he could have doubled down on if he had confidence in himself. And that made the entire audience be convinced he was wrong, enough that Tiny could claim victory with no one saying otherwise.
Something I'm sure Finkelstein here had, as I've not seen that one.
Yeah, I remember. Jontron was the perfect victim. A genuinely nice and somewhat naive guy. The only type of person Destiny can 'win' a debate again.
Just watch this. Don't need to watch anything else. Destiny got spanked like a little kid. I think at some point Finkelstein also called him out for looking shit up on Wikipedia mid debate.
