Utah isn't the paradise that a lot of people without firsthand experience seem to think it is. I've held my tongue on this topic because now isn't the time, but this happening in Utah doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Some cretin native doing this to an outsider is exactly the Utah I know and hate.

Pretty much. A lot of people in STEM are still probably conservative, but mostly don’t care and go with the liberal flow.
