I hope you worded it in a way that spoke to their hyper emotional language, "this person makes me feel very unsafe..." Because if you tried to appeal to a rational and moral sensibility, you'll find none because HR are mostly childless liberal women.
Of course I did! I said how shocked I was by that display of violence and how I was terrified that blah blah blah... honestly it makes me feel pretty disgusted, I felt like an unbelievable faggot, but it had to be done.
Not to share too much info, but the faggot isn't actually from my office, he's a remote worker from Germany and I never actually had to interact with him, thank god. But I've been aware of him, he's pretty active shitting up Slack.
It also helps that our local office had a scare last year when some dude threw an extremely autistic fit about something and then covertly threatened to shoot the place up. That shit was crazy, the cops were involved, it was hilarious. So I leaned into that a little bit.
