One might believe people are desensitized because they don't care anymore when they hear for the billionth time that some dindu murdered someone or Israel blew up another refugee camp but show them the actual footage of it happening in all its brutal detail and you'll realize that they're not.
The closeup footage of Charlie Kirks murder is brutal even if it is not especially gory. You don't watch him getting wounded. You see him getting shot in cold blood and die.
