Even Queen TERF Rowling is still just barely coming around to the idea that her precious women are the victims of something she championed loudly, and she is still fighting hard to not admit to it.
It's not supposed to resolve the contradiction. Hating men was just Communists classifying males as the bourgeoise. In the end, they're still just Communists.
People are human before they are communists, or whatever -ist. Which means holding contradictory beliefs will cause anxiety due to its dissonance, even if you can "resolve" it through some convoluted means. You can trick your conscious mind, but you can't trick your brain.
In this case, the resolution they chose was anger at the men who they felt safe enough to attack directly while being vague enough that it could technically include the real predators even if they'd argue otherwise.
