This is an issue that is far older than the 2021 Ukraine War, that's why the gulley ends in about 2015.

This issue that's actually at stake is the real US economy isn't very good, and everyone knows it, and people want a better reserve. You'll note the Ruble and most of BRICS aren't even really identified on this graph.
