I'll post articles about it in the giant list, but this little local nugget is really stupid. A pride flag styled zebra crossing was turned into an ordinary one overnight. This would be shocking, except all roadwork is done overnight when traffic is really low.
In protest 12 people covered in the zebra with chalk pride colors. This is Orlando during the monsoon and hurricane season. It rains hard every day. So, it was washed away the same day.
Lots of photos of people at noon looking proudly at their work. No pictures of what it looks like at 3:00 when the rain started.
It's a shitty memorial anyway. Sure, lives were lost in the Pulse shooting but instead of memorializing the lives and individuals lost, they chose to only recognize that a bunch of anonymous gays were wiped out.
That's all this movement does, even to the living members: Who you are is irrelevant, that you prefer sodomy is the sum total of your personality, your usefulness, and your existence on this planet. It insinuates that alphabet people are interchangeable, nothing more than drones in a collective. Pawns. Take our flag, wrap yourself in it, and everyone will instantly know everything they will ever need to know about you.
It's disingenuous, but maybe among the mentally ill its as close to organized as you can hope to get.
