I'll post articles about it in the giant list, but this little local nugget is really stupid. A pride flag styled zebra crossing was turned into an ordinary one overnight. This would be shocking, except all roadwork is done overnight when traffic is really low.
In protest 12 people covered in the zebra with chalk pride colors. This is Orlando during the monsoon and hurricane season. It rains hard every day. So, it was washed away the same day.
Lots of photos of people at noon looking proudly at their work. No pictures of what it looks like at 3:00 when the rain started.
I don't think this is an issue in Orlando but aren't those 'pride' crosswalks dangerous as they fuck up animals like horses and dogs where a normal zebra crossing doesn't?
It fucks up a lot of things. Including turning a regular piece of road no one cares about into a "hatecrime" if you touch it.
Honestly, we should have as a nation started painting potholes in fag colors to take advantage of this a decade ago. We'd have utopia level roads overnight with how quick they show up to fix anything homo.

Which is especially stupid because road paint is a space-filling plastic. They are covering a section of road with slippery plastic, then getting angry at drivers for losing traction and skidding.
