In Russia in 2023, 233 people were arrested for ''hate speech''. Russia population is about 146m. If you want to include arrests for political speech against the invasion of Ukraine ( I found 20 000 arrests in 2022 ), Russia is still arresting fewer people per capita for speech.

China, India and Russia are far worse, too many of them. Instead of boycotting, supporting the countries that are free speech friendly is more doable.

Sure thing, Russia is a free speech country that is why they ban VPNs so that Russians cant access blocked websites.
Russia dosen't have freedom of speech either and nobody implied they do.
