Oh I understand perfectly why people are upset
I just find it to be so absolutely petty that I can’t help but laugh a little
DnD is a tabletop game. When you play it, you can create any world you like. You can make every single character blue eyes and blonde hair if you want to.
Other people are going to create other worlds with black dancers with bubbles in their hair.
You don’t have to play that game. Pissing and mosning about seeing game art with a black character on it is such small potatoes
What societal conditioning are you afraid of? That people will think a game of make believe can have nonwhite characters?
It’s a fantasy game where people create whatever they want.
It’s even more telling that you can’t even articulate why you’re upset. You, instead, go for the “if you can’t read my mind” bs.

DnD can be all sorts of shit. It can be paladins and wizards or it can be clowns at a circus. All it is is fighting monsters and cooperative interaction in the end.
You don’t have to play it that way. You can still do what you like with the lore you’re familiar with
