Or maybe he does stick around and treats her like shit, but every so often he'll love bomb her again and it'll undo all the abuse and neglect.

His Zones chart tries to demonstrate that pouring resources (ie. being nice) to a woman who has no attraction to you will never change that fact no matter the investment.
The AI has the capacity to pour adulation, but it can't really fulfill the bad boy carnal attraction bit.
I think the AI boyfriend example would be better framed that a good chunk of women eat up & are addicted to social media attention. Which feeds their ego & their pleasure centers, but doesn't really replace sexual attraction.
