Kind of related, and not saying you're implying otherwise, but another huge problem is even among women who want to be SAHM, what percentage of those are eager to have 3+ kids?
One of the more effective ways out of our current predicaments are for solid families and good parents to start having more kids. At bare minimum, that means 3+. The percentage of women, even the "conservative" ones, who are chomping at the bit to have that many kids is very low.
They just want to have one or two kids, "hold serve" in their minds, and be glorified for it forever as if they've fulfilled their sacred duty to society as a woman.
a woman who has not had 3+ children, and doesn't have a medical exuse for not doing so, hasn't fulfilled shit. society should shame them.
every major culture has found invariably that there are both benefits and burdens that come with each sex. women have the social obligation of procreation, will never face destitution, but because they must be derisked, are much less likely to reap the rewards of risk. men have the social obligation of disposability and self sacrifice, and because they risk total ruin, are much more likely to reap the rewards of that risk. and when either side doesn't do their part, they are actively harming society. societies that fail to acknowledge this fall into nihilism and hedonism, and then they collapse or are conquered by societies that observe this.
people can shit on religion all they want, but nothing has ever been stronger at compelling this than religion, particularly christianity and islam.
but you're not wrong... far too many modern women wanting men to keep up men's side of the social contract while women are not keeping up their own. genetic testing shows that <20% of men who have ever lived have successfully procreated, while over 80%+ of women have. and today, we now have a majority of women who are nearing the end of childbearing age and yet have no children, not even a prospective father. so now women are doing to themselves what has previously been done to men. and society will be devastated because of it. even worldbank and JP morgan are ripping them for it because this shit compounds into so many other problems. populations are in massive contraction, which means social programs are mathematically guaranteed to collapse (they all require more aggregate payors by $$$ than payees, and a contracting population means that's upside down). shit, medicare has had massive cuts over the last 17ish years, and yet both medicare and social security collapse in 2033 because women for too many generations stopped having babies.
