Do not fucking do that, you will start a riot. You don't know how many friends he has, or if he has a weapon, or if they have weapons.
Some people will try to play peacemaker. Firmly have them step back, or grab them by the husk and move them. If you start throwing hands with a third party, you have no idea who else is going to step in. If you're already fighting with someone, you need to be very concerned about your opponent's allies stepping in late with a weapon when you're not looking. Don't add to that by throwing hands with an additional third party who can introduce that same problem, again.
Geez you're on a hair trigger. I guess I could have been clearer but this wasn't about waiting to be on the recieving end of an incident like this and starting shirt with 3rd party strangers. It's about pre-empting that behavior in people who express the desire to intervene like that, hence the "know or meet". I guess I could say "know or get to know" if it needs to be crystal clear.
This is about misguided friends or juniors. Friends don't let friends be crutches for criminals. And anyone who wants to do that needs an acquaintance to throw them into a wall and ask if they still want someone to step in and stop them hitting back now.

There’s only one demographic known for stomping on people’s heads while they are defenseless.
Drunk white kids.
Seriously, depending your life on stereotypes, especially positive stereotypes, is fucking stupid.
"Hindus would never stomp me out to death in the street because they are not black, therefore I am safe"
