The province says those caught violating the burn or travel bans could face fines of up to $25,000.

Why not just shoot them outright? That's just as reasonable of a punishment.

All because... it's dry?

The restrictions are in effect until Oct. 15, unless rainfall improves conditions sooner.

They aren't even pretending with the "two more weeks" ruse this time.

They should just learn from California and burn it themselves, then they can deny aid to people who's houses have burned down and finally use that as justification to steal the land from the owners.
