That plus our track record of winning more often than not when fighting another race. And don't forget what happened the last time we were genuinely angry at another race; we split the atom, ignored their attempts to negotiate a conditional surrender, then dropped miniature suns on them until they surrendered unconditionally. And then our occupation extinguished their warrior culture and turned them into a bunch of kawaii peaceniks.
I thought the lore was that the Manhattan project was originally supposed to be targeted towards our German Aryan brothers. But that the Commies were too effective at running them down, so they used it on the gooks instead because they were lying around & shouldn't go to waste.
That's apparently what they teach in Japan. It would've been more profitable to just convert the atom bombs to peaceful nuclear power, but we'd already sunk the money in and besides, prime real estate in H&N.
Also the Germans are now gelded.
