It's times like these when I'm really sad that we don't take the social sciences seriously.
If we did, we'd already know how damaging this is to several segments of society... but those fields are so ideologically captured (and so female-dominated) that they're useless. The Social Sciences haven't done science in two generations.
And we really need it, especially in the internet age and the age of instant communication.
The social sciences were founded with a rejection of racial intelligence by Franz Boas, and a (largely successful) attempt to subvert white culture by Freud. Both of those guys are Jewish. There have been bouts of honesty and truth-seeking in the social sciences, but overall saying they've been ideologically captured is like saying Israel has been ideologically captured by Zionists.
My point is there is worthy, substantive scientific inquiry into these fields. But the current iterations have to go.
Psych has to go fully lean into STEM. fMRIs changed the game two+ decades ago and it's only gotten better since then. There is no reason for the bulk of psychology to exist outside of hard, verifiable science. It needs to marry Neuroscience, essentially.
Sociology at it's core is a worthy field of study, but everyone in every department has to go. We need to start over from the foundation. We need a new foundation throwing out Marx and Weber and Foucault. Probably by having a several year moratorium on those departments, which is a DRAMATIC step.
And that, too, needs to move into more hard science. Much more research needs to be conducted personally - get the fuck away from dependence on national data sets and regression models. Get the fuck away from activism. Get the fuck away from feminism.
The serious sociologists and behavioral scientists are hired by Big Tech corporations and tech startups to make their products as addictive as possible.

Fair point.

We agree, I think.
