The shifting scales of female beauty is controlled BY WOMEN not men. Women can be (often!) vindictive bitches. They'll demand nigh-impossible standards for others to obey, knowing that they themselves are immune to this pressure. Either because they're beautiful by any measure (rare) or so ugly they'll never ever be considered beautiful (common).
They seek to undercut and sabotage other women, on purpose, with malice.
Intelligent (rare) women know full well that looks only go so far. The looks attract the males, but all the rest is what keeps them for a lifetime. Most women just go for the looks, thinking the perfect man (6-6-6-8) will fall in love on sight & be their toy forever. In fact looks don't last for 97% of women...
Very few women still look attractive post-40, even fewer post-50.
It was funny because Joker from Better Bachelor was showing off how disturbing Kate Beckinsale now looks. I had not been keeping up with her but he showed a photo of her recently and she's had a lot of work done.
Kate comes across as extremely vapid and solipsistic, so now that her looks are rapidly fading, she just seems like an insufferable plastic blow-up wench. She had made some comments a short while back about "bullying" and whatnot (typical celebrity virtue signalling), but what stood out to me in her comments was how she noted that one of her co-stars was "mean" to her and called her "cunt". And without even knowing the details, I actually think that co-star was right because that's exactly how she comes across in all her interviews.
But to your point, it's interesting because Lexa Doig is the same age as Kate (or thereabout) but doesn't appear to have had anywhere near as much work done and still looks gorgeous. For the majority of women who do not get that genetic privilege, they should be working on good character traits instead. Wenches like Kate obviously didn't get the memo.

So true.
Very few women still look attractive post-40, even fewer post-50.
