Greece is still very much Christian. It will be sad to see it go. I hope to go see the monasteries there someday.
Search for meteora Greek monasteries, the effort they had to go thru in order to defend against invading muslims and now to just allow them in.

Greece is the origin of what is now called Orthodox, yes.
Generally, the Orthodox are the most based Christians there are.
