Forget the assessed market value, remove all the names from the sale...
A Manhattan townhouse was purchased in 1997 for $4.475M, then sold in 2000 for $4.95M. The seller made a $475,000 profit on the property in roughly 3 years. That's completely reasonable given the time period and its location.
Now, that said, I support the death of every last Rothschild and all of their kin and ilk.
Obama was not "raised by a single mother." Yes, his mother and father divorced, but she remarried quickly to an Indonesian man. She had enough money that she was able to send him to study in the US and live with his grandparents (and before you imagine poverty, his grandmother was a VP at the Bank of Hawaii and he was studying at a pricey private school) while she continued to live in Indonesia. She remained married to Obama's stepfather until he was nineteen. One could make inferences that Obama wasn't as close to his parents as would be normal, yes, and I don't think it would be unreasonable to suggest that this may have in some way been negative for him. But what you said is at best an incredibly misleading picture of his childhood circumstances, and more frankly, an outright untruth. I do not say "lie," because you could simply be misinformed, but you are misinformed.
Obama went to elite schools and has enjoyed a prestigious and incredibly enriching political career based more upon his ability to play the race card, his personal connections, and the media carrying water for him than any accomplishment of his own. It may be correct to call him less privileged than a Rothschild, or Hillary Clinton, which is what makes her saying it humorous. He is nonetheless incredibly privileged by any normal standard.

Ah, right. But such families are generally basketcases. I wouldn't call him privileged for being abandoned by his father and his mother taking him to marry some weirdo in a weird country.

Decent of you to show charity. His family circumstances weren't exactly fresh.

Partly true. I thought of pointing to whatever advantage he got by his race. But all in all, I don't think you can compare even someone most privileged by his race (like Kendi) as being privileged nearly to the same extent as someone in a position to marry a Rothschild.
And note that this comment was made before Obama had the media carry water for him as much. At that time, he was elected senator because the GOP candidate imploded (perhaps with the help of his operatives), and people liked his rhetoric.
He is nonetheless incredibly privileged by any normal standard.
Honestly, I've had a pretty normal life, but I think that he was worse off than I am. Maybe he got some advantages based on his race when his education started. Even leaving aside that I don't think these race-based advantages to people any good, I think the blessings of a normal family life are far greater.

Agreed on all points, especially the last one.
Is that the same Lynn de Rothschild Hillary supporter who called Obama privileged for... God knows why?
That is a correct evaluation, although humorous to see deployed by another privileged person on behalf of yet a third privileged individual.
Obama was raised by a single mother. This woman married a Rothschild freakazoid. Not exactly correct.
