Not a cliche. It's pointing out that what you claim Imp is guilty of is pretty universal, so it can't be used to deny 1 person access to the board while leaving the others alone.

Ideally, yes. But if it's not a standard you are willing to hold everyone else to, it's unfair to have Imp banned over it.

Anyway, you are just extrapolating. There are specific instances that contradict imp's behaviour being universal. The "standards" are the rules, which imp broke and that's why he got banned
