The judge, in making his ruling, specifically mentioned that had Khant been a citizen, he would have imposed a harsher punishment. But because Khant was an immigrant, he was going to give him a break.
Considering you get free gibs for life and a slap on the wrist at worst for any crimes you commit, yeah it's basically paradise especially compared to their third world shitholes.

They think "living in Canada" is some giant reward and to take it away from someone is akin to murdering them.
I like how he spares thoughts for the wife. Which makes this worse. He's married and still trying to buy children for sex.
