Well that's exactly right; it is a "fishing expedition" which are usually bad, but for this kind of thing is almost the only way to catch these perverts.
So far the RCMP (or CSIS, whoever did this) don't toss them back due to colour. Not yet anyhow. But the Crown (our "DAs") and judges sure do!
