Health employee...never took biology classes?
Less surprising than you might think. Title is "Equalities Chief", which is more about PR and social engagement than actual medical information. Bureaucrats don't need to know what they are talking about on social media, just how to talk about it and win over the brainless general public.
So her classes from highschool onwards were probably however many minimal hard sciences as she could get by on then social studies that lead to business and political management of some kind. If she was educated in Scotland that means she would have dropped the 3 core hard sciences from 15 onwards.
Then again the surname could throw up some points to consider.
Also it's Fife. It's the butt of jokes for a reason and this doesn't help things in the slightest.
