Cable TV? Sounds good, then turned into commercial-filled 57 channel scam. Cell phones? Sounds good, then turned into a surveillance device. Trusted computing? Sounds good, then turned into corporate control over your computer. Self-driving cars? Sounds good, but they'll enforce 15 minute cities. Neuralink? Sounds good, but it'll be behavior modification.
It's pathetic how innovation and the triumph of human intellect and spirit gets just turned into grift after freedom murdering grift.

It's one of the CIA "techniques." If you shrink an industry to only three major players then it's far easier to surveil everyone and tightly control the messages. Google chrome thinks "surveil" isn't a word. It's not even in it's dictionary. Not a coincidence.
