I surmise the issue is that mainstream society has become more beta and made men ashamed of masculinity that women are seeking it out in actual toxic areas.
That was essentially hoe_math's take on women & hybristophilia a couple of months back.
He posited that in the absence of the good men capable of violence, women will just default to violent men in general.
That weakness in men is an "ick" that overrides pretty much everything else.
