They could have said that right after getting in and most people would have been disappointed but probably would have believed it. Instead we are getting "he killed himself" and "there is no list."
What I find strange is why didn't they claim that regardless of the truth? Trump has only to lose from this and it's not like it will change any minds, if anything it makes everyone think it is even worse.
Only thing that would make some sense is that "who ever" wanted this to go away just care 0 about Trump, MAGA, Republicans or anything else. If this ends Trump I hope everyone pays attention as to why/who if we ever get another Trump.
We may never know for sure, but personally I think one of the following is true.
Trump and company were legitimately 100% ignorant of the likely reality that Epstein was a Mossad sponsored operation and are keeping it under wraps either to protect our "greatest ally" of their own accord or because upon getting in they've been threatened by them to keep it from getting out.
The sheer number of high ranking politicians and celebrities that are implicated would potentially cause mass unrest and/or total collapse that orange man does not want to risk or be associated with.
I personally lean toward a variant of #1. Personally I still find it extremely unlikely that orange man himself is implicated. And i do hang on to (perhaps cope) that him and the Bonginos of the world actually intended to release it and something is stopping them from doing so. Their behavior in my opinion is not in any way consistent with them planning from the start to cover it up.
They could have at least come up with a better cover up.
Yeah I agree. The terrible execution of the cover up makes me inclined to believe it was not the initial intention.
Putting aside the fact that this isn't Trump's first rodeo (or technically even his second), sure, you get in office and suddenly your family's lives are threatened by a foreign lobbyist. There's still so much damage you could do to the machine just by blindly throwing levers and casting blame. We saw it with USAID. Even if you are now afraid to enact your full platform for whatever reason, just keep cutting budgets and blaming things on "the deep state." Keep the momentum moving, even if you personally want to pass the buck.
I can't come up with a good explanation for not doing that and still being our guy in any way.
