The ice budget is the biggest fuck you the gop offered. They did it to bloat the budget while offering zero solutions.
Knowing our government it's probably pork barrel spending. That said, a significant reduction in the estimated ~40 million population of illegals is undoubtedly a Good Thing and anything that gets that number to zero is something I support.
Trump is struggling with getting 800 gross deportations a day, never mind the number of immigrants he is bringing in "legally". In order to deport 100 million people in four years he has to increase that 100 fold. Eighty-thousand deportations a DAY.
The ICE budget is like a three year old who made a four inch pile of sand saying "look mom, I made a mountain!" It is fiction, it is make believe. It will not change the trajectory the US is on. It exists to keep people from acting. It is a pressure release valve.
They all must be removed, and Trump isn't going to do it.
A lot of this is intended to spur self-deportations.

The vast majority is on retirements then health care. Only about $200B of the budget actually makes it down to the 6 overall military branches. That's for equipment, operations and salaries.
