Yes, this is a really good point, and part of why I take such issue with his speech. I want to like this guy, but what the fuck is he even saying? What the fuck is white?
Honestly, he is a white person because he suffers from a loss of culture. Irish people say they are Irish. Albanians say they are Albanian. Only retards in countries like Australia say that they are white and obsess over it.

I can do that. Blacks are really American blacks because since they were removed from their indigenous societies and transplanted as slaves to the US, they adopted a kind of off-shoot Scotch-Irish / Ulster culture. This was actually what appeared among the Amero-Liberians when that colonization effort.
The concept of a "Black" culture outside of the US is purely fictional, and even among American Blacks, you can see major ethnic divisions among Americans, Caribbeans, South Americans, and many varieties of Africans.
The American Black cultural imperialism is effectively just an extension of the Black National Socialism that was an outgrowth of W.E.B. DuBouis' Communism mixed with what he saw in the Volkish movement in Germany.
You mean black Americans? Yes, they suffer from American problems. I never met a person from Africa who said he was black rather than Sudanese or Nigerian or whatever.
The toxic problems of western culture infect the immigrants who, in fact, do assimilate. The problem is that they assimilate into the same fucking problems of drugs, godlessness, and "progressive" ideologies.
