The Media kept really quiet about it since it made Obama look like a stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure, and trumpeted his many drone strikes as a brave hero dropping bombs on US citizens :/ who deserves another Nobel Peace Prize.
The media covered the Yemen civil war. They were one of the factions. I don't see where they've ever been pirates. Pirates do it for the loot. I've only ever known them to attack ships for political reasons.
